For any artist, putting your work out there for others to judge is one of the most difficult challenges to face. But rejection and good critiques of my work have been the best motivator to improve my craft. Every year, I send in images into the Professional Photographers of Canada‘s provincial and national Image Salon competitions with knots in my stomach.
This year I missed the deadline for the national one but entered the PPOC Ontario Image Salon and am really pleased that two of my images were accepted! Last year I managed to not only get a merit as well and an accepted image but an award for best in class at the provincial level!
I realized I never did blog about that achievement because my accident happened only a week after I received my award so I’m including it here. I can now officially say with pride that I am an award-winning photographer.
If you like my work, they are available for purchase and will be hanging in the Galerie Eugène-Racette in Orleans for the month of November.

Congrats. Well deserved.
Kudos to Bryan and all the executive for woikrng so hard to promote our branch, and association. Your passion for our membership getting a great value from their annual fee is exemplary! Looking forward to expanding our numbers in the Hamilton area this year!
